Dr Andrej Miklosik — Founder of Catnapweb

What I do

I run Catnapweb — an AI marketing and SEO agency in Melbourne — and I’m a Professor at the Department of Marketing and Commerce at the Faculty of Management, Comenius University in Bratislava. Most agency founders have one of those backgrounds. I have both, and that combination shapes how we work with clients.

Catnap brings something most Australian agencies can’t: marketing strategy built on current peer-reviewed research, calibrated to the Australian business context. The work I lead with collaborators at universities worldwide feeds directly into how we advise clients — so SMBs and mid-market businesses get the kind of evidence-based decisions usually reserved for enterprise budgets.

I write under my own name on the Catnap blog. Every post is something I’d defend in front of my peer reviewers, and something I’d recommend to a client tomorrow.

What I write and consult on

Three pillars, all within my published research areas.

  • AI search & discoverability

How AI Overviews, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Gemini change whether your business gets found — underpinned by my 2019 search-visibility framework paper.

  • AI marketing

Using AI in marketing without burning money or sounding fake — underpinned by my most-cited work on machine learning adoption and big data in marketing.

  • SEO & digital disruption

What has actually changed in SEO, ads and digital marketing — drawn from agency work with SMBs across trades, professional services, retail, hospitality and B2B.
